CentraleSupelec and Airbus Group GDI Simulation have developed since 2011 a cooperative work in the framework of research contracts. The two partners have today decided to extend their cooperation towards a major technological challenge: to develop photonics.
Airbus Group and more specifically its entity called GDI Simulation has become on October 14, 2016, the first founder of the Chair in Photonics. The Chair in Photonics and GDI Simulation are engaged on a strategical industrial project for a duration of four years. This project aims at developing new technological solutions in the context of combat shooting simulation. Through this collaborative program, CentraleSupélec and Airbus Group GDI Simulation express their shared ambitions to promote in France and abroad the industrial applications of light and optical technologies.
GDI Simulation is a subsidiary company of AIRBUS Group that is dedicated to conception, production and development of simulation system towards the operational readiness of armed forces. http://www.gdi-simulation.fr/fr/
